About Formosa Bakery
Located at 7580 49th Street N, Pinellas Park, FL 33781, Formosa Bakery operates as an asian bakery serving Pinellas Park in Florida. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Hours at these spots often run into the evening, later than a typical coffee shop, and many stay open on weekends when demand is highest in Pinellas Park. Seasonal and limited-time drink or dessert flavors are common, so a shop's current menu can differ from what is posted online; checking recent photos or calling ahead helps. Some locations in Florida are dessert-only with no seating, meant for takeout, while others have cafe-style seating for staying a while. Straws for bubble tea are typically wide to accommodate the toppings, and are provided automatically unless you ask for a regular one. Loyalty apps and stamp cards are common at chain locations, and ordering ahead through an app can shorten a wait considerably at busy locations during peak after-school and after-dinner hours.

Unfortunately, there isn't as much care put into the making of the buns as you would hope. A giant fly was baked into the bottom of a matcha bun. When attempting to replace it, the cashiers of MD notified us that Formosa bakery is a separate entity. No one at the counter understood the issue with a bug baked into the bun.

This review is solely on Dan Tat (egg tart). First of all, they all looked like they were made in a popover tin, therefore they are not in the right shape. Crust was too dense and thick, custard tasted way too sweet. Wondering if they changed the pastry chef.

I ordered 100 dan tat (Hong Kong style egg tarts) from Formosa Bakery for my wedding day, and they did such a beautiful job making my special day even more special! I communicated with the owner Wendy, and she was professional and courteous. These Hong Kong style egg tarts are hands down the best I have ever tasted in my life! I have also tried their other style of egg/custard tart (I believe it was either French or Portuguese) and that was fantastic as well! I definitely recommend visiting Formosa Bakery, which is located inside MD Oriental, for delicious baked goods, pastries, and desserts!

πΊθ°’θ°’δ½ πΊ Thank you, Linda and Formosa Bakery, located inside MD Market! The 16" cake you created for us was beautiful and delicious! The bakery had it ready for us ahead of schedule, and one of your gentlemen even carried out to our car! Thank you again!
